STAN GETZ feat. ASTRUD GILBERTO /// THE GIRL FROM IPANEMA (OFFICIAL VIDEOCLIP)

During the summer of 2020 Verve Records launched the Summer Samba event! to promote their catalog of Latin jazz. In collaboration with Dreambear we made the video clip of the mythical “The Girl from Ipanema” by Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto.

It is an evocative song that transports us to a world of infinite beaches, drinks, a happy world where music, fun and beauty are everywhere.

In addition to the video clip, we made a reinterpretation of mythical album covers by Stan Getz, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Luiz Bonfa and many more adapted to the style of the video clip, as well as a series of logos that captured the essence of the music.

DISEÑO

Our main source of inspiration have been the cartoons of the 50s and 60s. We think that style fits perfectly with this wonderful song.  It is true that we have forced the colors a little, with the intention that they are more vibrant and striking and are themselves protagonists of this video.

In addition, the stages and certain elements that should transport us to Rio de Janeiro were very important: the funicular, Cristo Redentor, the beaches, as well as more idealized settings such as the underwater concert or the concert halls.
